IQAC Seminar on  “Continuous Professional Development of Engineering Students at Modern Universities”

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) organized a half-day seminar on “Seminar on Continuous Professional Development of Engineering Students at Modern Universities” on January 09, 2023 at ARI Seminar Room. Sixteen (16) Faculty members from different Departments (Arch, CSE, EEE, ME, MME, NCE, Mathematics, Humanities and IICT); 07 students from different Departments (NCE, Physics and Mathematics) and 11 Project Office Managers from different Departments (Arch, BME, CE, Ch.E, CSE, ME, Mathematics, NAME, WRE, URP and IQAC) of BUET, a total thirty four (34) participants actively participated in the event. The aim of the seminar was to provide the participants with a good understanding on Continuous Professional Development of Engineering Students at Modern Universities.

Prof. Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Director, IQAC, greeted all the participants at the beginning of the Seminar. The seminar was moderated by Professor Dr. Kazi Bayzid Kabir, Additional Director, IQAC. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Nemai Karmakar, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.The seminar ended with a vote of thanks from Prof. Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Director, IQAC.

This seminar was part of the ongoing activities of the IQAC, which started its journey in January 2015. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC works to ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution, and assure all the stakeholders connected with higher education, namely students, parents, teachers, staff, funding agencies and society in general.
