IQAC Online Training Course on “National Integrity Strategy”

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) organised a half-day Online Training Course on “National Integrity Strategy” on 19 March 2024. Faculty members, officers and staff of different Departments (Arch, BME, CSE, ChE, CE, EEE, IPE, ME, NCE, WRE, URP, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities); Institutes (BUET-JIDPUS, IWFM, IICT, ARI and IAT); Offices (Registrar office, Comptroller office, DSW, DAERS, Controller of Examinations Office, Audit Office, Central Library, BUET Medical Centre and IQAC) of BUET, a total two hundred eleven (211) participants actively participated in the event. The training aimed to provide participants with a good understanding of the definition, background, strategy, responsibilities, challenges and significance of national integrity strategy and how the integrity can be improved within the university.

The Training Course was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Kazi Bayzid Kabir, Director of IQAC. The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Muhammad Nazmul Haque, Deputy Secretary (NIS), Cabinet Division, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET, joined as the Chief Guest of the Closing Session and delivered his valuable speech to the participants and organisers. The Training Course ended with a vote of thanks from Prof. Dr. Md Ashikur Rahman Joarder, Training Course Director and Additional Director, IQAC.

This Training Course was part of the ongoing activities of the IQAC, which started its journey in January 2015. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC works to ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution and assure all the stakeholders connected with higher education, namely students, parents, teachers, staff, funding agencies and society in general.
