IQAC Online Training Course on “National Integrity Strategy”

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) organised a half-day Online Training Course on “National Integrity Strategy” on 20 September 2023. Faculty members, officers and staffs of different Departments (Arch, BME, CSE, ChE, CE, EEE, IPE, MME, ME, NAME, NCE, PMRE, WRE, URP, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities); Institutes (BUET-JIDPUS, IWFM, IICT, ICT Cell, INPE, IESD, ARI and IAT); Offices (Registrar office, Comptroller office, DSW, DAERS, Controller of Examination Office, Office of the Chief Engineer, Audit Office, Central Library, BRTC, DCE, FEEE, RISE, Directorate of Planning & Development, Medical Centre, IQAC and BNUS)  and Residential Halls (Ahsan Ullah Hall, Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall, Titumir Hall, Sher-e-Bangla Hall, Suhrawardy Hall, Shahid Smrity Hall, Dr. M. A. Rashid Hall and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall) of BUET, a total two hundred nineteen (219) participants actively participated in the event. The training aimed to provide participants with a good understanding of the definition, background, strategy, responsibilities, challenges and significance of national integrity strategy and how the integrity can be improved within the university.

Prof. Dr. Kazi Bayzid Kabir, Director, IQAC, greeted all the participants at the beginning of the Training Course. The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Zehsan Islam, Retired Additional Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Honourable Vice Chancellor of BUET, joined as the Chief Guest of the Closing Session and delivered his valuable speech to the participants and organisers. The Training Course was ended by a vote of thanks from the Training Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashikur Rahman Joarder, Additional Director, IQAC.

This Training Course was part of the ongoing activities of the IQAC, which started its journey in January 2015. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC works to ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution and assure all the stakeholders connected with higher education, namely students, parents, teachers, staff, funding agencies and society in general.
