IQAC Training Course on “National Integrity Strategy”

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) organised a half-day Training Course on “National Integrity Strategy” on 15 March, 2023 at IICT Virtual Classroom, BUET, Dhaka. Faculty members, officers and staff of different Departments (Arch, BME, CSE, ChE, CE, EEE, IPE, ME, NAME, NCE, PMRE, WRE, URP, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities); Institutes (BUET-JIDPUS, IWFM, IICT, ICT Cell, RISE, ARI and IAT); and Offices (Registrar office, Comptroller office, DSW, DAERS, CoE, Office of the Chief Engineer, Audit office, Central Library, BRTC, DCE, FArch, FEEE and FME) of BUET, a total fifty eight (58) participants actively participated in the event. The aim of the training was to provide participants with a good understanding on the definition, background, strategy, responsibilities, challenges and significance of national integrity strategy and how the integrity can be improved within the university.

The Training Course was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUET. The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Zehsan Islam, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Certificates for completion of Training Course were awarded by Prof. Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Director, IQAC. Dr. Md. Zunaid Baten, Additional Director, IQAC anchored the inauguration and concluding sessions. The Training Course was ended by vote of thanks from Prof Dr. Md Ashikur Rahman Joarder, Additional Director, IQAC.

This Training Course was part of on-going activities of the IQAC which started its journey in January 2015. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC works to ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution, and assuring all the stakeholders connected with higher education: namely students, parents, teachers, staff, funding agencies and society in general.
